The Block rumpus room

2026 · Mount Eliza · polytec rojo walnut, dekton pietra kode travertine

The cabinetry in Lisa and Rosco's rumpus room on The Block 2026, which went to air in week 8. Lisa and I worked the design out together. The styling is the team's.

The kitchenette is the piece that gets noticed. A full-height surround in Polytec Rojo Walnut with a curved front arching over the sink, two open shelves inside with the lighting set into them, and the wine fridge housed in underneath. The top is 20mm Dekton, a travertine from the Pietra Kode range, put in by Linkstone.

From the arch, a long run of cupboards carries on down the wall under the same top. No overheads, so the wall is left for the artwork.
